2019 Open House - Highlighting Capital Equipment

2019 Open House - Highlighting Capital Equipment

Thank you to all that were able to join our Fox Valley Metrology team at our 2019 Open House. It was a day of fun in the sun celebrating the new addition of our Capital Equipment Program. The turnout was great and the conversations were even better. But don't worry, if you weren't able to make it, here are a few of the highlights.

FVM had on display the latest in equipment from top industry measurement vendors who have partnered with us for previous open house events. Starrett, JLW Industries, Dorsey and Mitutoyo all stationed in Fox Valley Metrology's state-of-the-art labs. With hands-on demos going on and tours within the labs, there was plenty to explore and learn. Venturing into the conference rooms, Mahr, Vermont Gage, Insize, Tesa and Surpless & Dunn were all available to discuss the latest in hand tool measurement technologies.

Fox Valley Metrology's Director of Equipment Sales, Jay Erickson, also presented an informational PowerPoint of our new Capital Equipment Program. As an added bonus, Wenzel-America, FARO Technologies and Starrett-Kinemetric all had factory representatives on hand. This group of vendors demonstrated the latest in their respective coordinate measurement capabilities to spotlight FVM’s new advanced measurement equipment offerings.

The advanced measurement systems on hand included the Starrett AVR300, HDV300 and HVR300 (FLIP) systems all running Metlogix’s M3 software. Also demonstrated was the latest in Starrett Force Testing equipment with Metlogix L2 software.

Steve Meek from Wenzel America was available to discuss everything Wenzel-America, including CMM’s, Array Imaging Solutions as well as Computed Tomography equipment capable of measuring both internal and external geometry without the need for destructive tests.  All truly impressive technology.

Last but certainly not least, FARO Technologies had on display their latest portable arm, the Quantum S, 8-Axis solution with a laser scan sensor, the foremost equipment in the industry for this technology. Also on display was the FARO Vantage Laser Tracker, also industry leading, to demonstrate the power of FARO and large scale metrology.

The fun didn't end there since outside there was plenty to partake in. Our team had a full picnic style lunch with plenty of beverages and entertainment. If you haven't been a part of a Fox Valley Metrology Open House in the past, you are missing out. Whitman Airfield is in our backyard and overhead everyone is able to enjoy the exciting EAA airshows throughout the day and into the evening. Needless to say, it was great to see the turnout for this event. With professionals who are just as passionate about the Manufacturing Industry as Fox Valley Metrology is, we enjoy hosting this annual event.

Fox Valley Metrology would like to once again thank all our vendors and attendees for making the 2019 Open House a success. We are looking forward to learning and growing together into the future!
